Billie Eilish talks about the trolling he faced in tonight’s (31.07.21) BBC One special “Billie Eilish: Up Close”.
The 19-year-old Megastar has landed a 45-minute special. This special details the dark side of Grammy award winners in the limelight and the hatred of going online despite their efforts “for the world” and “hard”. ..
She told BBC Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo:
“If people keep saying you’re wrong, what’s the point of trying to do good?
“I am working hard to do good for the world and for the people.”
The “My Future” hit maker also talks about her surge into superstars, something like a role model for young fans around the world, and her latest album, Happier Than Ever.
The press release states: “In this 45-minute entertainment special shot in Billy’s hometown of Los Angeles, BBC Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo tells Billy about his latest album, Happier Than Ever. With her remarkable success, her role as an inspiration for the impact it has had on her life and for young people around the world. “
Adele, Ariana Grande, Harry Styles and others have landed their own “At The BBC” TV specials in the past.
In addition, Billy will debut at the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge. The session will air on BBC iPlayer from 11:15 pm on Saturday, and fans will be able to hear the “incredible cover” on BBC Radio 1 at 12:00 pm on August 5th.
