Pharrell Williams has canceled the festival in Virginia after being shot deadly by his cousin.Entertainment news – Pennsylvanianewstoday.com

Pharrell Williams canceled his own festival after the deadly shooting of his cousin.

The 48-year-old singer unplugged at his own “Something In The Water” festival in Virginia after his cousin was shot and killed by a police officer earlier this year.

This event started in 2019 but has not been held since COVID-19.

However, although it was scheduled to return in 2022, Farrell has now confirmed that it does not happen after the deadly shooting of Donovan Leitch.

The “Get Lucky” hit maker wrote a letter to Virginia Beach Manager Patrick Duhoney expressing his anger at the situation.

“I love my city, but it has been run by toxic energies for too long.

“The toxic energy that changed the story several times around the murder of my cousin Virginia citizen Donovan Lynch changed the story of the mass slaughter and meaningless loss of life in Building 2. It’s the same toxic energy as it was. ”It was associated with the 2019 mass slaughter that killed 12 people.

He added: “Until gatekeepers and powers consider citizens and consumer bases and no longer consider all human rights ideas to be controversial … I’m fine with the city, but the city also appreciates the solution I proposed. I understand that I haven’t. “
