— Actor Willie Garson is dead at the age of 57. Garson is most known for his iconic role as Stanford Blatch on the hit show “Sex and the City” and was also filming for the reboot “And Just Like That.” Multiple reports say the New Jersey native died Tuesday surrounded by family. A cause of death has not been confirmed, but he was reportedly battling an illness. He was also featured in the movies “There’s Something About Mary” and “Freaky Friday.” Garson leaves behind an adopted son.
— Tributes are pouring in after the death of Willie Garson. His “White Collar” co-star Matt Bomer took to Instagram to reflect on the last year of their friendship and the last time they saw each other. Bomer said Garson lifted him up, made him better, and always made him smile. Meanwhile, “Sex and the City” actress Cynthia Nixon shared on Twitter Garson was endlessly funny both on-screen and off. Mario Cantone, who played his husband in “Sex and the City,” said he couldn’t have asked for a more brilliant TV partner.
— Mayim Bialik wants to host “Jeopardy!” full-time moving forward. She is currently splitting the hosting duties with former winner Ken Jennings through 2021 after the show’s newly appointed host stepped down. Speaking to Glamour, she said hosting the show is a dream job. The “Big Bang Theory” actress and neuroscientist noted while she loves her other jobs, “Jeopardy!” seems like the best use of her brain and her skillset.
— Ken Jeong is opening up about the most surprising reveal on “The Masked Singer.” Speaking on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Jeong said he was shocked in the first season when the poodle turned out to be one of his best friends in the whole wild world Margaret Cho. He said to this day he’s shocked he didn’t recognize her. He said the moment she took off the mask his face was pure embarrassment. Jeong noted to this day he is still embarrassed.
— The union that represents tens of thousands of crew members in the Hollywood entertainment industry is one step closer to a strike. The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, or IATSE, announced yesterday it would be moving forward with a strike authorization vote. The vote needs 75-percent approval to pass. IATSE has been bargaining with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers for several months, the group which represents all the major film and television companies. Two of the key points have revolved around pay and more rest periods between work shifts.
— Two well-known characters from Family Guy are taking viewers on an adventure to explain how vaccines work. In a new video on the show’s Twitter page, Stewie Griffin and his canine friend Brian are transported into Peter Griffin’s body after Peter asks why he has to get a coronavirus vaccine. Stewie then explains how the COVID shot works as other characters, including Meg Griffin, are used to help explain how the vaccine works. Stewie says getting vaccinated means being able to do more things we love and it protects those Peter is around. Peter ends up getting the shot and says, “that was easy!”
— The Walt Disney Company is undergoing a “reset” when it comes to how they make deals with talent. Speaking Tuesday, CEO Bob Chapek said he is referring to deals “cut three or four years ago.” This comes as the “Black Widow” star Scarlett Johansson is suing the company for breach of contract. She claimed her box office competition was impacted when Disney decided to release “Black Widow” on Disney Plus as well.
