(Undated) — “Clueless” actress Alicia Silverstone is now on a dating app. Speaking to People, she said being on “Bumble” gives her hope. She said she thinks the app is a great way to meet people. Silverstone said she has always been interested in dating apps since her divorce in 2018. She added she’s heard “tons of beautiful stories” about people who met online.

(Los Angeles, CA) — Ratings are up for this year’s Emmy Awards. The Sunday night show hosted by Cedric the Entertainer saw viewership rise to seven-point-four million, according to preliminary numbers from Nielsen’s. That’s a 16-percent jump over last year. 2020’s awards show was mostly virtual and drew an audience of six-point-three million.

(Undated) — Ben Affleck is in awe of Jennifer Lopez’s effect on the world. Affleck praised his girlfriend in a new profile for her in AdWeek. He said he has seen firsthand how over and over again women of color approach Lopez and teller her how she is an example of a strong and successful woman and what that means to them. He said the singer has inspired a massive group of people to feel they have a seat at the table in this country. Affleck noted that’s an effect few people throughout history have had. He said he can only stand by and admire with respect. The two were engaged in 2002 but called off their wedding in 2004. Since then, they have rekindled their relationship earlier this year.

(Undated) — Actors Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are helping out the NAACP’s Legal Defense Fund and the American Civil Liberties Union. On Monday, both organizations tweeted saying the couple is matching up to a million dollars worth of donations. The money donated with be split evenly between the two organizations. The campaign is a part of the “Democracy Building Challenge.”

(Rockville Centre, NY) — Comedian Amy Schumer is revealing she had her appendix and uterus removed due to endometriosis. The 40-year-old “Trainwreck” star shared a video which was filmed by her husband, Chris Fischer. She detailed the surgery, saying the endometriosis had attacked her appendix and the doctor found more than 30 spots on her uterus. In August 2020, Schumer had said she could never be pregnant again, after giving birth to her son Gene.

(Los Angeles, CA) — The actor best known for his role as “Ezal”  in the comedy “Friday” is dead at the age of 55. Anthony Johnson appeared in almost 50 films and TV shows including “Menace 2 Society” and the sitcom “Martin.” Multiple reports say Johnson was found “lifeless” in a store earlier this month and was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. No cause of death has been released.

(Los Angeles, CA) — Actor and writer Seth Rogen panned the Emmy Awards COVID protocols before presenting the Best Actress in a Comedy Series Award to “Ted Lasso” star Hannah Waddingham. Rogen’s jokes took shots at what he called the “hermetically sealed tent” where the show was staged, “too many of us in this little room,” and the air conditioned tent’s tree chandeliers. Host Cedric the Entertainer pushed back on Rogen’s take, saying, “We’re all vaxxed. We had to get vaxxed to come here.”
