Saweetie: People need to respect each other | Entertainment News – Pennsylvanianewstoday.com

Saweetie believes that people need to “respect each other.”

The 28-year-old rapper claims that everyone is “equal” and calls for more to be done to prevent the spread of hatred to marginalized groups.

Saweetie spoke at the Rolling Loud Festival last month when asked about DaBaby’s insensitive comments about the LGBTQ community and people living with HIV / AIDS.

The “best friend” hit maker told People magazine about her LGBTQ fans: No matter who we respect, who we are, what we do, after all, we are all equal.

“We all need to say what is offensive. We need to emphasize what we represent and what we believe to be right.”

Saweetie’s comments came after DaBaby appeared to have removed the LGBTQ community apology posted on Instagram.

The post says: “I would like to apologize to the LGBTQ + community for the harmful and triggering comments I made.

“Once again, I apologize for the misleading comments about HIV / AIDS and knew that education on this was important. Love for all. God’s blessing. “

However, while Twitter still has a previous apology for being “insensitive,” a short statement no longer appears in his account.

The post states: “Anyone who has been affected by AIDS / HIV has the right to be upset. What I said was not going to offend anyone, but was insensitive. So my apology.

“But the LGBT community … I’m not a trippin for everyone. Y’all business is y’all business.”

The 29-year-old star was widely criticized in his first comment on HIV and AIDS.

He said on stage: “Today, if you don’t have HIV, AIDS, or any of them, you’ll die in a couple of weeks and lighten your phone …

“Blow, if you’re not smoking d *** in the parking lot, lighten your phone.”
