— JoJo Siwa  is set to make history on the upcoming season of “Dancing With the Stars.” Deadline reports the “Dance Moms” alum will be apart of the show’s first same sex partnership in its 30 season run. The 18-year-old, who is a part of the LGBTQIA community, said she thinks it’s really special that she gets to share with the world that they can love who they love. Now, she says she also gets to show them they can dance with whomever they want to. In addition to Siwa, Olympic gold medal gymnast Suni Lee will also compete for the show’s mirror ball trophy. Season 30 of “Dancing With The Stars” is set to air on September 20th on ABC.

— The Weeknd is opening up about the “pleasant surprise” of being nominated for an Emmy. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, The Weeknd opened up about his Super Bowl performance being nominated for Outstanding Variety Special. He said there was a normal amount of pressure going into the performance, but there was even more with COVID-19 safety protocols. He said they not only had to make it a COVID-19 safe performance, but a COVID-19 free performance. The Emmys will take place on September 19th.

— ” Mission: Impossible 7″ features the biggest stunt done in the franchise. Entertainment Weekly reports footage of Tom Cruise’s new stunt was unveiled at CinemaCon on Thursday. In the footage, Cruise rode a motorbike off a massive ramp on the side of a massive cliff. Writer-director Christopher McQuarrie said it is “by far the most dangerous stunt [ they’ve ] ever done.” He said the stunt included 500 hours of skydiving training and 13-thousand motorbike jumps.

— Steve Harvey will pick up a gavel in his coming series. On Thursday, ABC announced Harvey is set to be the judge and the jury on an upcoming unscripted series. Throughout the ten hour long episodes, Harvey will help settle conflicts. The show is set to air sometime next year.

— Actress Emily VanCamp is now a mom. The Marvel actress took to Instagram that she and her husband actor Josh Bowman just had a child. The baby’s name is Iris. This came to a surprise to fans, as neither VanCamp or Bowman had announced they were expecting.

— The president and CEO of Time’s Up is stepping down. On Thursday, Tina Tchen  announced her resignation from the organization that helps victims of sexual harassment. The group has been hit with backlash for aiding former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo while he faced numerous accusations of sexual harassment. Tchen issued a statement on Twitter saying her position at the helm of the organization has become a painful and divisive focal point. She said she will continue to work for change in other ways while letting Time’s Up move forward. She’s the second higher up at the organization to step down amid the Cuomo backlash.

— KISS singer Paul Stanley is testing positive for COVID and the band won’t be taking the stage outside of Pittsburgh in Burgettstown. TMZ reports the KISS lead singer is fully vaccinated and is feeling fine. A representative for the band said a decision about future dates of the tour, including Saturday’s show in North Carolina, will be made as soon as possible.
