Lord says it was a “God’s” experience that came out of social media.
The 24-year-old pop star has deleted all Instagram posts, except for one and two that promote his next album, “Solar Power.” Despite having 7.2 million followers on Twitter, there are no tweets.
Lord (real name Ella Jerich O’Connor) claims that this was one of her best decisions ever and now feels engrossed in information all day long.
She said on the Australian radio show “Ash London Live”, “It’s sacred and I really enjoy it. I’m a shy and sensitive person.
“That’s a lot of information. I understand that I was overwhelming myself with headlines and thoughts from others all day long. It gives me less room to have ideas and brainstorm things. I didn’t. I am very grateful now. “
Lord acknowledges that leaving social media has one drawback. It’s now much harder to keep in touch and up to date with her friends’ lives.
She states: “The only thing I think is how much I underestimated my friend’s affection on Instagram. People don’t really tell everyone what they’re doing, they tell everyone through the story. I’m just telling you. That’s the way to stay connected. I really have to date my friends. I’m planning people’s birthdays now. “
The Royals hitmaker previously claimed that he felt he had “lost” his freedom by spending a lot of time on social media.
She states: “Apart from feeling lost in free will, some of the reasons that made me peace on social media are about our planet, organized racism, and the atrocities of the police in this country. It was a huge amount of stress I was feeling.
“I don’t know how you deal with it, explaining that I’m reasonably neurotic.”
