(Los Angeles, CA) — Actor James Franco is agreeing to pay more than two-million dollars to settle a sexual misconduct case. The class action lawsuit filed in 2019 claims Franco and his associates coerced their former-acting students into performing explicit scenes on camera. Court filings that were made public Wednesday included the two-point-two million dollar settlement figure, which will have to be approved by a Los Angeles judge. The complaint alleges Franco and his partners engaged in behavior that was “inappropriate and sexually charged” toward female students. They’re accused of using their power to sexually objectify students and for giving preferential treatment to those who were willing to undress in front of them. Franco’s attorneys have called the claims “false and inflammatory.”

He took to Twitter to say he has never changed his stance or his story, adding he always maintained his innocence. The comedian thanked the court for upholding the rule of law and thanked those who stood by him. The 83-year-old Cosby had served more than two years of a three- to ten-year sentence at a state prison for the 2004 assault of Andrea Constand.

(Los Angeles, CA) — A Los Angeles judge is denying Britney Spears’ request to remove her father from her conservatorship. Multiple reports say Judge Brenda Penny ruled on Wednesday Jamie Spears could stay on as sole conservator. The pop star’s lawyers filed the request to remove him in November saying Spears is afraid of her father. The complaint also said Spears would not perform until he was removed. The news comes a week after Spears spoke in court and claimed her conservatorship is abusive. She said she wants out of it after 13 years without a medical assessment.

(Los Angeles, CA) — Britney Spears’ father is calling for an investigation into the singer’s conservatorship claims. The lawyer representing Jamie Spears requested a preliminary hearing on Tuesday to question the behavior of the pop singer’s current personal conservator. The “Toxic” singer spoke to a judge last week where she claimed a number of disturbing aspects of her conservatorship, and asked her power of attorney be terminated without having to be mentally evaluated. Mr. Spears is requesting the evidentiary hearing to confirm if his daughter’s testimony was accurate in order to determine what actions, “if any, need to be taken.” [[ note nature]]

(Undated) — Singer Marilyn Manson is being hit with another sexual assault lawsuit. Model Ashley Morgan Smithline is accusing Manson, whose real name is Brian Warner, of numerous crimes including sexual assault, human trafficking, unlawful imprisonment. This is the fourth similar lawsuit that has been filed against Manson this year. Smithline claims he violated Trafficking Victims Protection Act in 2010 by allegedly promising to hire her as an actress as long as she moved to Los Angeles from Bangkok. To date, the project she was promised to work on has not been published. She also alleges physical abuse that left bruises on her body for months. Manson’s representative denied the claims to Rolling Stone.

In a letter she’d sent to the judge ahead of her sentencing, Mack said she regrets getting involved in the cult, and apologized to those she brought in. Dresses by Ella.” Idina Menzel, who plays Cinderella’s stepmother, and Billy Porter, who plays the fairy godparent are also featured in the trailer. (England) — Indiana Jones fans may not get to see the legendary archaeologist ride off into the sunset as soon as they thought. The already-delayed fifth and final installment of Indiana Jones has come to an abrupt halt after Harrison Ford injured his shoulder while filming a fight scene last week. While the crew originally thought production would be able to be pick back up quickly, sources say the earliest they could restart production would be September. The theatrical debut of “Indiana Jones 5” is set for July 29th of next year after being pushed back due to COVID-19 concerns. However, sources have not confirmed if the latest setback will further delay the debut.
