Naya Rivera’s son handles her passage “really well.”
The “Glee” star was tragically drowned in July 2020 while boating with his son Josie, 5,. After her death, the actress’ sister Nikaira moved with Naya’s ex-husband Ryan Dorsey to raise a young man and a little boy’s grandfather. George Rivera believes the pair is doing a “really great job”.
George tells “Entertainment Tonight”: “Nikkaira and Ryan are doing a really great job.
“We treat him and talk to him as he is six. It makes no difference, but when he wants to talk about his mother, he talks about his mother in a conversation. He is growing up and Handle it really well.
“You’re not talking about ghosts floating around, right? He remembers, but he’s coming to the boy, isn’t he? He’s a really strong boy.”
Last month, Ryan sent a moving compliment to Naya on her first Mother’s Day without her.
He wrote on Instagram:
Ryan also recently praised his son, “very strong, very brave, very kind,” following Naya’s tragic death.
Posting a photo of Josie decorated with merchandise from the North Carolina Panthers NFL team, he writes: Man … I couldn’t be proud of anyone. At such a young age, he endured more than anyone at the age of five.
