Coronavirus in Oregon: 5 deaths, 315 cases – OregonLive

The Oregon Health Authority on Friday announced five COVID-19 deaths and 315 coronavirus cases.

Vaccines: Oregon reported 13,063 newly administered doses, which includes 6,124 Thursday and the remainder from previous days.

Where the new cases are by county: Baker (2), Benton (2), Clackamas (33), Clatsop (2), Columbia (5), Coos (2), Crook (4), Curry (5), Deschutes (12), Douglas (17), Hood River (1), Jackson (19), Jefferson (2), Josephine (8), Klamath (6), Lane (17), Lincoln (2), Linn (19), Malheur (4), Marion (25), Morrow (1), Multnomah (52), Polk (12), Sherman (1), Umatilla (28), Wasco (1), Washington (26) and Yamhill (7).

Who died: Oregon’s 2,746th death linked to COVID-19 is a 69-year-old man from Jefferson County who tested positive May 8 and died June 17 at St. Charles Bend Hospital. He had no underlying conditions.

The 2,747th fatality is a 73-year-old Deschutes County man who tested positive June 2 and died June 6 at St. Charles Bend Hospital.

Oregon’s 2,748th death is an 89-year-old Clatsop County woman who tested positive April 11 and died June 1 at her residence.

The 2,749th fatality is a 74-year-old Washington County woman who tested positive April 20 and died April 25 at Oregon Health & Science University Hospital.

Oregon’s 2,750th death is a 45-year-old Marion County man who tested positive June 6 and died June 16 at Salem Hospital.

Unless noted, each person had underlying health conditions or officials were determining if each had health conditions.

Hospitalizations: 150 people with confirmed cases of COVID-19 are hospitalized, down one from Thursday. That includes 37 people in intensive care, unchanged from Thursday.

Since it began: Oregon has reported 206,299 confirmed or presumed infections and 2,750 deaths, among the lowest per capita numbers in the nation. To date, the state has reported 4,282,816 vaccine doses administered, fully vaccinating 2,086,483 people and partially vaccinating 258,231 people. Oregon is on pace to fully reopen, with nearly all coronavirus restrictions lifted, on June 28.
