Bad news for Good Girls. The show has been canceled after four seasons on NBC.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, efforts to move the show to Netflix for a fifth season fell apart, despite previous seasons’ popularity on the streaming service. Sources tell THR that NBC and its in-house studio Universal Television wanted to bring the show back but couldn’t come to a financial agreement.
The show’s five remaining episodes will air on NBC.
John Langley, creator the long-running TV show Cops, died Saturday of an apparent heart attack in Baja, Mexico, his reps tell Variety. He was 78. Langley was reportedly competing in the Coast to Coast Ensenada-San Felipe 250 off-road race. Cops was of the first reality TV shows and remained one of TV’s top shows for 32 seasons until 2020, when the series was criticized for showing primarily the point of view of the police and ultimately cancelled following the George Floyd protests.
