O’Hara, Stocker are Clyde Lamb Award winners

Mount Union seniors Mitch O’Hara and Sabrina Stocker have been awarded the Ohio Athletic Conference’s Clyde Lamb Awards.

The Clyde Lamb Awards are given to the top male and female scholar-athletes at each of the OAC’s 10 institutions. 

O’Hara, from Avon and a graduate of Lakewood St. Edward, was a three-year letter winner on the Mount Union football team. He was a two-time All-OAC and Academic All-OAC linebacker and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with minors in Biology, Chemistry and Neuroscience. He plans to attend medical school.

Stocker, from Madison, is a four-year letter winner on the Raiders track and field teams. She won OAC titles in the 60-meter hurdles (indoor) and 100 hurdles (outdoor) and qualified for this weekend’s national championships. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Biology and plans to attend graduate school in the fall. 

Three Raiders named to all-tournament team

Mount Union third baseman Brian Livolsi, outfielder Zack Mazza and pitcher Thomas Gallant were named to the Ohio Athletic Conference baseball all-tournament team.

Livolsi, a senior from McMurray, Pa., went 6-for-14 in the Purple Raiders’ three games, a 5-4 win over Heidelberg and 8-7 and 3-2 losses to Marietta in the championship series. He also scored four runs with two doubles.

Mazza, a sophomore from Flint, Mich., went 5-for-13 with a home run, a double and five RBIs. 

Gallant, a junior from Pataskala, was the winning pitcher against Heidelberg, where he allowed 10 hits and four runs in 7⅓ innings with six strikeouts.
