(Los Angeles, CA) — The Hollywood Foreign Press Association is hiring a team of diversity experts to help reform the organization that votes on the Golden Globes. Two outside law firms were hired to investigate reports made to the organization’s hotline. Additionally, the HFPA has hired ethics software company Convercent to create a new hotline for complaints that will launch by June 1st. The organization’s board says this is a step toward “transformational change,” but noted there’s still more work to be done.

The HFPA has been under fire after a Los Angeles Times report claiming it had no Black members. Shortly after, NBC announced it would not air the Golden Globes in 2022 until reforms were put in place.

(Los Angeles, CA) — The Oscars are getting pushed back, again. The 2022 Academy Awards will be held on March 27th. That’s a month later than the original date. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences did not offer a specific reason for the move. The Oscars are typically held in February. However, organizers note that this year “is still impacted by the pandemic.” The scaled down 2021 Oscars were held last month at Union Station in downtown Los Angeles. Next year, the ceremony will return to it’s traditional Hollywood home at the Dolby Theatre.

(Skippack, PA) — Comedian and convicted sex offender Bill Cosby is being denied parole. The Pennsylvania Parole Board decided he’s not ready for release from his three-to-ten-year sentence for assaulting Andrea Constand in 2004. The Board noted the 83-year-old hasn’t participated in a treatment program for sex offenders and he hasn’t drawn up a plan for life after his release. Cosby’s team explained on social media that he’s “vehemently proclaimed his innocence” and denies the allegations against him.

(Undated) — Kim Kardashian is revealing she and her kids all contracted COVID-19. On Thursday’s episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” she said her son Saint was the first to get it after an outbreak at his school. Shortly after that, she discovered she and the rest of her kids had it. Kim says she had a 104-degree fever while trying to study for the “baby bar exam.” It’s not clear when Kim and her kids contracted the virus because the show was filmed months ago. However, the show had to take a two week break while filming as a result.

(Seaside Heights, NJ) — Jersey Shore’s the Situation now has a little situation. Reality TV Star Mike Sorrentino and wife Lauren have welcomed their baby boy. His name is Romeo Reign Sorrentino. He was born on Wednesday, weighing six pounds, eight ounces. The couple took to Instagram sharing their little bundle of joy with Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi saying “welcome to my fam my gorgeous nephew!”

(Oklahoma City, OK) — “Tiger King” himself is joining the ranks of cryptocurrency. The official website of Joe Exotic is now offering “Tiger King Coins.” It’s unclear how much the Crypto Coin goes for but the funds will apparently be put toward Exotic’s legal defense fund, who’s currently behind bars on 22-year sentence. Exotic was convicted with multiple crimes including murder for hire charges.

(Los Angeles, CA) — The charges against Shia LaBeouf could be dropped if he can behave for a year. The judge in his battery and petty theft case placed LaBeouf into a judicial diversion program on Thursday. This means he can have the misdemeanor charges dropped if he follows certain rules for 12 months. The conditions of the program include weekly private therapy for anger management and alcohol monitoring. He’s also not allowed to try to obtain or use a weapon or use force or violence. This comes after LaBeouf got into a fight with a man back in June and took his hat.
