Another season of American Idol has come to an end. Spoiler alert — Chayce Beckham was crowned this season’s American Idol. He beat out Willie Spence who came in second and Grace Kinstler who came in third. This will not be the final season of the show, as ABC has picked it up for season 20. There’s no word on if Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie will return yet again to judge the show.

Lil Nas X is laughing off his wardrobe malfunction while on Saturday Night Live over the weekend. He was performing “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)” when he started dancing on a pole. That’s when his pants ripped right down the crotch. He was able to cover the area with his hand and finish his song. On Twitter, he said the wardrobe malfunction is what he gets for wanting to do his pole routine so badly. He was the musical guest for the Season 46 finale.

The 2021 Billboard Music Awards are now over. The Weeknd, who was the most nominated act of the night, went home with ten awards. Taylor Swift took home her 24th and 25th Billboard music award after winning Top Female Artist and Top Billboard 200 Artist. Drake was honored with the Artist of the Decade Award and explained despite having the most Billboard Music Award wins of all time, he always wonders how he can do better. Additionally, Pink said it was an absolute honor to accept the Icon Award. The show’s host Nick Jonas told the Hollywood Reporter about 500-to-600 people were in attendance at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday.

“That ’70s Show” costar Danny Masterson is being ordered to stand trial on multiple rape charges. A Los Angeles judge ruled Friday that prosecutors presented enough evidence in the case that involves the rape of three women nearly 20 years ago. The District Attorney’s office says the alleged crimes occurred at Masterson’s Hollywood Hills home between 2001 and 2003. The actor has denied the charges. Masterson is scheduled to be back in court June 7th for arraignment. He faces up to 45 years in prison if convicted. Masterson portrayed Steven Hyde on the Carsey-Werner sitcom that aired on Fox from 1998 until 2006

Netflix founder Reed Hastings is donating three-million dollars to shield California’s governor from a recall vote. Hastings’ donation is the largest sum of money that’s been donated to the governor’s recall campaign so far. Under California rules, Governor Gavin Newsom can raise unlimited funds to fight the Republican recall effort. Some of Silicon Valley’s tech leaders also recently signed a letter in support of Newsom. The recall vote is expected to land before voters in the fall.

A Hollywood actress is honored to be part of what she calls an incredible story out of Florida. Mariska Hargitay stars as Detective Olivia Benson in Law and Order: SVU, the show an eleven-year-old named Alyssa credits with giving her the idea of planting blue slime on a 30-year-old man who says tried to kidnap her so police could identify him as the suspect. It apparently worked as the man is now in custody, and Hargitay has now posted a message to Alyssa on Instagram. She calls her brave, strong and smart, and she adds the SVU squad may need to add slime to their crime fighting gear.
