Johnny Depp has sued the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) in order to force the nonprofit to provide proof that his ex-wife Amber Heard donated her divorce settlement.

According to court documents obtained by People, the actor and his lawyers “respectfully requests that this Court enter an order directing the ACLU Witnesses to fully comply with the Subpoenas.”

The subpoenas are for “discovery concerning any donations to the ACLU Foundation by Ms. Heard or in her name, and/or any public statements related to such donations; communications with Ms. Heard or those acting on her behalf concerning her relationship with Mr. Depp and divorce from Mr. Depp; discovery concerning Ms. Heard’s work as an ‘ambassador’ for the ACLU Foundation and the conception, drafting, and placement of the Op-Ed; and communications with Ms. Heard or those acting on her behalf concerning the Virginia Action and the preparation and submission of the Wizner Declaration.”

Heard received $7 million when the couple’s divorce was settled in 2016 and shortly after the actress pledged to donate the funds to the ACLU and the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. However, Depp claimed he heard that the donation to charity never happened. He now plans to use the documents to aid in his ongoing $50 million defamation case against Heard for her 2018 Op-Ed about domestic violence in The Washington Post.

Meanwhile, Heard’s team remains adamant that the actress did “nothing dishonest” explaining that she “pledged to pay over 10 years.” They also provided proof of her previous donations totaling $950,000 to the ACLU and $850,000 to the Children’s Hospital through anonymous donors.

Former Bachelorette Rachel Lindsay is continuing to call the franchise out on its diversity issues, most recently accusing the show of casting Black men who “didn’t date Black women.”

Lindsay, who made history as the first Black Bachelorette in 2017, appeared on Ziwe Fumudoh‘s new Showtime variety series, during which he pointed out that, “All three of the Black Bachelors and Bachelorettes — Tayshia AdamsMatt James, and Rachel herself — have ended up with partners who are not of color.”

Rachel, who chose — and later married — Bryan Abasolo, although it should be noted that Rachael’s father is Honduran and Bryan is Colombian.

When asked if she received any backlash over her decision, Lindsay admitted, “It’s something I was worried about before I went on the show. I think I got a little bit more grace because I was the first, and people were just excited that a person of color was in this role.”

“I think when the next person chose someone that wasn’t Black, and then by the time we got to the third one, it was like, ‘You know what they’re just not going to choose anybody that’s Black,’” she continued.

The 36-year-old attorney blames that on a “casting issue,” claiming she “learned as I was going through my season that several of the Black men on my season didn’t date Black women.”

“That’s why I’m speaking out that you don’t need to diversify just your cast and your leads,” Rachel explained. “You need to diversify the people behind the camera.”

“Hopefully having somebody of color in the decision room, who has some power, who can help not just diversify and include more, but also understand, who come from these experiences as well,” she told E! Online back in February.

Dax Shepard is recalling when he hit rock bottom, which he admits was the “scariest place you can be.”

Speaking Thursday on OBB Sound’s The Pursuit of Healthiness with Blake Griffin, the Top Gear America host recalled the time his drug abuse was exacerbated by his mental health struggles.

Shepard admitted his sobriety was on a sliding scale in the early 2000s, where he would “get sober for movies” but his addictions would become “more and more dangerous” between each gig.

The Parenthood alum recalled his most dangerous trip, where he got involved in “all kinds of super dangerous things, smoking meth” when partying with a friend in Hawaii before filming 2005’s Zathura.

Shepard remarked that trip should have been the highlight of his life because “I’m about to start a movie and make the most amount of money I’ve ever made in my life, people in Hawaii recognize me. I’m now famous. And I recognize I have every single thing I ever wanted.”

“But, I am at my lowest point, emotionally. And something has got to be very broken about that,” he confessed. “If I have everything I said was going to make me feel good and I feel terrible.”

Shepard explained that, back when he “didn’t have anything,” he would fantasize about what would make him happy, so when he finally had everything he could have ever wanted and still felt “miserable,” he notes “that’s actually about the scariest place you can be.”

The 46-year-old said he turned to AA after a disastrous 2004 interview on Late Night with Conan O’Brien, where he blacked out in the pre-interview and broke a coffee table during filming.

Shepard admits Conan banned him from the show — but, once he got sober, the host allowed him to return.
